The new version of Silhouette does not read the machine. We tried different computers. Only the computer with the V3 was able to read the machine. Very frustrating as your support team does no bother to help you. PS we tried everything in the training manual step by step. Still can't recognise the machine. pathetic to say the least
SB, I had a similar issue. Eventually my problem was escalated to the "senior" support person only after I contacted one of the COO's or something via Linkedin. The support for Silhouette is terrible. I ended up buying a new machine and refunding the other through Amazon. What I've found is the mat I was using was thinner than the mat provided in the machine. Ensure there's enough light for the optic eye. Hope this helps.
